Behavioral Threat Assessment for Organizational Safety

Utilizing the Behavioral Threat Assessment Model, participants learn to work as interdisciplinary teams to investigate, assess, manage, and prevent violent threats in the workplace from progressing to an attack. You will learn how planning, process, and ealry intervention are key to maintaining a violence-free workplace.

Organizational Mindfulness for Violence Prevention

This course explores mindfulness at the individual, interpersonal, organizational, and societal levels, with a special emphasis on empowering individuals within the organizational context as a means of improving well-being, conflict resolution, communication, safety, and effectiveness, with positive impacts at every level of an organization.

Building a Culture of Listening: Effective Communication for Violence Prevention

Utilizing the concepts of Non-Violent Communication, this course is designed to equip leaders and members of the organization with the essential communication skills needed to foster a safe, inclusive, and productive environment while mitigating the risk of workplace violence.

Advanced Crisis Communications - Converting Relationships into Assets

Participants will learn how to leverage strategic communication skills in a crisis. Exercises will include how to: craft the initial announcement of a crisis-in-progress; adapt the information for dissemination across multiple platforms; issue press statement and updates to the media; designate C-Suite executives to personally contact priority stakeholders; arrange press interviews with leadership and/or experts; and keep updated records of preferred contact protocols for all constituencies.

Violent Warning Behaviors and our Children - Guidance for Parents and Schools 

Parents, teachers,  and school officials often see warning behaviors that go unreported or unaddressed - sometimes with tragic results. Often, they simply don't know there's anything they can do. This presentation and discussion is designed to help parents and our school community identify warning behaviors and act quickly to prevent school violence. This
1-hour training compliments ongoing school safety initiatives, and is perfect for PTA meetings and Teacher Training days.

Violent Warning Behaviors in the Workplace

Participants will learn to identify and report Warning Behaviors and concerning incidents to prevent Workplace Violence. This course is designed to build organizational efficacy by discussing reporting procedures, anonymous reporting, and legal protections for those who report violence and concerning behavior.

Crisis Communication - Oversight & Resolution

Participants will learn how to: identify a crisis; activate an internal response plan; recognize the roles of the Incident Commander and the Public Information Officer; report to/enlist the aid of external emergency responders, regulatory bodies and government officials; notify staff, stakeholders, media and the public; effect a resolution; create detailed records of all activities throughout; and conduct a thorough debriefing and review of your response at the conclusion of the crisis.

Embrace Responsibility - Crisis Communication when a mistake has occurred.

Leadership personnel, PR and marketing practitioners, and those who communicate internally or externally on behalf of an organization, will learn how to leverage accuracy and transparency when a mistake has occurred, while still honoring privacy and confidentiality laws, across all communication platforms, including: website and social media; press releases and fact sheets; publications; video and podcast content; speeches given in public; all forms of advertising; board and donor communications; elevator speeches; and media interviews.

Workshop: Creating a Comprehensive Workplace Violence Prevention Plan

This course provides participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to develop an effective workplace violence prevention plan. Through interactive sessions and practical examples, attendees will learn how to assess their organizations' risks, create policies and procedures, and foster a safe and secure workplace.

Behavioral Threat Assessment for K-12 Schools

This specialized course equips school administrators, educators, and support staff with the skills to investigate, assess, manage, and prevent violence. Learn to navigate FERPA and the complex legal and ethical landscape surrounding threat assessment in educational settings, including privacy rights, duty of care, and intervention protocols.

Fundamentals of Strategic Communications

Participants will learn how to build relationships across the entire socio-ecological model in order to continuously promote & protect the organization. Exercises will include how to: convert staff and clients into brand ambassadors; create public service campaigns; craft effective pitches for pro-active media coverage; engage with community leaders and elected officials; develop content across multiple platforms.
