About the Training
This FREE one-day training is taught by Christopher Carita, a Department of Homeland Security Certified Master Trainer in Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management. Those who would benefit from the Basic Course include Law Enforcement Officers, Detectives, Clinicians and School Counselors, Educators, HR Administrators, Corporate Security Professionals, and All Supervisors in Private or Public Organizations. Seats are open to qualified individuals and are limited to maximize instructional value. Those who successfully participate in this course will receive a DHS Certificate of Completion.
Through this Training Participants will:
- Define Targeted Violence
- Outline the Pathway to Violence Model and the 4-Step Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management Model
- Learn to identify threats or observable behaviors that may be concerning while adhering to individual's constitutional rights, privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties
- Recognize the role of community in targeted violence prevention
